I've organized the SciPy astronomy BoF before. Just email the
organizers or the list (mainly a question of who does it first).

Can I suggest adding a section to the wiki for SciPy atendees to
add their name? I was going to add one last night, but noticed that
the wiki says "email us to suggest a new section" or something
like that.
