[AstroPy] astropy in Debian, Scientific Linux?

Incidentally, somewhere in my hard drive I have a version of SOFA with
autotools + libtool + pkgconfig support that I would really like to
contribute if SOFA changes its license. Currently the build system is just
a Makefile, without shared library support.

I was Ole who mentioned the anomaly "that anyone can write software that
