Dear colleagues,

We are happy to announce the release of Astropy v0.2.4, a core Python
package for Astronomy. This is mainly a bugfix release that improves
stability and performance. A full list of changes is given here:

  http://docs.astropy.org/en/stable/changelog.html

In addition to bug fixes, this release includes the addition of the
cosmological parameters for the Planck 2013 results:

    >>> from astropy.cosmology import Planck13

Tar files and installers for the release are available from here:

  https://pypi.python.org/pypi/astropy

Astropy can be installed with pip:

    pip install astropy

but is also available in MacPorts and Fink. If you are using the
Anaconda Python Distribution (which includes Astropy by default), you
can already update to 0.2.4 with:

    conda update astropy

Please let us know if you run into any issues with this release!
