[BangPypers] Imaging Library: Pillow vs PIL, any insights?

Just gone thorough opencv,  smart choice for Computer vision application.

Now narrowing down to Pillow.

Can Pillow to be used along with pngquant, optipng sort of image size
reduction without loosing alpha transparency?
