i think this is the way we used to do it.  we eventually migrated
announcements to the front because we had recruiters coming whose sole
purpose is to announce the availability of Python jobs, hand out their
biz cards and leave... they (obviously) were not interested in the
contents of our meeting.

i still believe we can move the announcements till the end.  if
recruiters want to come and plug their jobs, they can just show up at
9pm.  :-)
