[Baypiggies] help with pygame

I have downloaded pygame, and am trying to work with it, but the tutorials do not help me much. are there more tutorials out there? can some one help me? i have a picture of the dar mark an I would like it so that when I start the program a green thing(like a light) swirls around the screen and when it hits the centre it explodes and a skull appears then the snake comes out and around  and stops some were. That's what I am trying to make but I have not found anything that has come close to helping.
  any Ideas?
