[Baypiggies] Python2.5 and readline

Greetings.

I installed Python2.5 and 'import readline' gives an error.
(long back had a readline auto completion thing
in my python start up file).

Even if I try using my old python executable
(python2.4) which used to have this functionality,
I get the "cannot import readline" error.
 From the docs, it looks like this module should
be automatically available for unix systems.

This is on a redhat linux box.

Any suggestions ?
