Happy New Year! Hope you have all enjoyed the nice holiday break. We  
are starting off 2010 with another well accomplished speaker.

Noah Gift is currently the Senior Technical Director at ImageMovers  
Digital working on Python software development for Film Pipelines.  
Prior to that, he has worked on Python development projects as  
diverse as writing an SNMP auto-discovery system, writing a Content  
Management System from scratch, creating a large scale Web 2.0/Social  
Networking Application in Django for Turner Studios, writing iPhone  
applications that talk to Google App Engine... He is also credited to  
producing animated films such as Chicken Little , and Surf's Up  
earlier on in his career.

Noah is also the co-author of Python For Unix and Linux System  
Administration by O'Reilly. He writes for publications such as IBM  
Developerworks, Red Hat Magazine, O'Reilly, and MacTech, and Manning,  
and is currently working on a book on Google App Engine.

Noah has graciously accepted our invitation to speak at our group. He  
plans to use real life examples in the film industry and talk about  
about writing a RESTful web service in Pylons. Stay tune for a more  
detailed abstract of the talk.
