I do not believe this is a scam. I am in a class today with Ryan S (ryan at appacademy.io) from App Academy.
The class is NOT an app academy class, it's a master class (proglangmasterclasd.com) and Ryan is also attending.
I mentioned this to him and he agreed that he will bring this to his boss' attention immediately.
I only have my gut instinct on this, but I believe this is a genuine mistake (somewhere). Please let us know how it works out.

P.S. Ryan is carbon copied so he can forward to his boss.
