The curriculum will be changing some time early in 2025, so this is one of the last times that my course will be given. The course will be held live, online, via Zoom meetings, and is open to the public. This is an intermediate-level course that's designed for people who have a basic understanding of the Python language, and want to go on to the next level of programming. It assumes that you have taken an introductory course at UCSC-Extension or elsewhere (or have learned Python on your own), and can write small to medium sized programs in Python. The course teaches the concepts of OOP by building small video games. You will get a large number of sample programs and a highly re-usable library of user interface "widgets". This course meets for eight Thursdays, 10/3/24 to 11/21/24 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm (PST) online. More information can be found here: https://www.ucsc-extension.edu/courses/python-object-oriented-programming/ and a sign up page can be found here: CMPR.X420 - Python: Object-Oriented Programming course.ucsc-extension.edu [logo.png] UCSC-Extension Silicon Valley is accredited by various bodies through the University of California, Santa Cruz, and many employers will reimburse the cost of this course ($750).
