We do checks and prunes on the server which has so far worked without 
any issues. If you plan to do this remember that Borg needs a cache for 
its operations. Depending on your data this might add some GB, but 
generally shouldn't be a problem. Additionally, if your data is 
encrypted the server will need access to the encryption key. Depending 
on your scenario this might not be desirable.
