Not a bad idea :)

I would also suggest to backup root and users .ssh/ and cache+config in
an encrypted zip file into another directory on the HD, just in case it
moves to a server one of these days.

BTW, is the impossibility to backup multiple machines at once a big
no-no, programmatically speaking, or is there a way to circumvent this
limitation ?
