Alright, I stand corrected; these are technically possible.
Again, because I have a financial stake here I don't feel I can argue
for any particular solution without an accusation of bias. Instead
I'll simply ask you to read about the goals of the redesign (start
from http://jessenoller.com/blog/2012/11/28/the-great-python-org-redesign,
where you can find the RFP and the bid which became the working spec
document) and think about which solutions to the packages.python.org
problem best match the goals of the python.org redesign.

pypidocs.org and pypifiles.org are both available (as are the .com
versions). If anyone's even slightly interested let me know and I'll
buy them and donate them to the PSF, just in case.
