[CentralOH] Python 2.6 on Windows XP

I've had two different instances where updates to Windows XP has crashed my
Python installation. One was about 2 months ago, and the other this past
week. It seems as if something happens to the Python internals when this
happens. I run Python on Windows Vista 32 and 64 bit, and Windows 7 64 bit
with no problem. Thoughts on why the XP updates are crashing Python?
