Happy New Year everyone! Hope to see you all at the Python Users Group
January 25!

What: Central Ohio Python Users Group January Meeting

When: January 25, 2010 6:30 PM

Where:
TechColumbus
1275 Kinnear Rd
Columbus, OH 43212

You know Python, or at least you're aware of it (that's why you're looking
at attending the meeting, yes?) It's not uncommon to connect to a database
using Python, but did you know it's possible for your database itself to use
Python?

PostgreSQL has the ability to write functions and procedures in PL/Python,
which can use Python to both work with data inside your database, and bring
in information from the outside world. Josh Williams will be leading a
tutorial-format demonstration designed to show you how to get up and running
on PL/Python, and some of the cool things you can accomplish using it.

In addition to Josh, we will also have two break-out sessions: developing
the cohpy.org website and Learning More About Python.

Pop and snacks will be provided by Intellovations. We also have a stack of
O'Reilly provided Python books in our library that can be checked out.

See you there!
-Eric
