I can give a talk on a project I recently started - I am in the midst of using AI/ML techniques to slice, dice, and julienne my email. All of my email. All 40+ GB of my email across multiple inboxes. It is something I have wanted to do for a while, and I finally have the disk space (and other resources) to do it. Using my own emails as a corpus I want to use NLP to "play" with my decades-old collection of spam. I also want to summarise my own emails with LLM (most likely Claude or Mistral), and craft a system that grabs the most important ones and sends them to my phone - archiving the rest. Of course, I want a backup of everything - including and especially the spam - before I delete it from the server. And I am doing it all with Python. I should certainly have some really cool stuff to show off by August. Interested? On Jun 6 2024, at 7:45 pm, John Cassidy wrote: > Brock has offered to do a talk this month (topic TBD). Below is the list of URLs that I showed. In addition to those URLs, here were some talks I thought were insightful, interesting, or inspirational, that you might wish to watch when they become available on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@PyConUS). Some kind if lock file is on the road map, but for now the workaround Bill mentioned is still the closest you can get. I still highly recommend the tool if you are building installable packages for PyPI or your own internal Python package repository.
