The audio track can be ripped using the following command

$ ffmpeg -i video.mpg -f ac3 audio.ac3

Play the video / audio and manually switch the slides based on
the speaker's instructions. The slides are recorded using a
screen capture tool, like xvidcap. The recorded screen capture
and the above audio are combined using OpenShot Video Editor.
