I think my best "next action" is to ask the Fabric guys if they would
consider relicensing as LGPL or something else non-GPL. (Making my
whole issue --whether legally a real issue or not-- moot.)

I wanted to see what the "street opinion" was on the issue before I
got a lawyer's opinion, but I can see I that I inadvertently incited a
riot. :-)
