Every new programming language comes out promoting their more direct syntax
with equivalent or more usefulness then predecessors. These languages, be
it C#, Java, Ruby, Python, others, then offer some less obvious but more
powerful syntax. Certain groups of programmers adopt these idioms
extensively and weaken the original goal of the language by obscuring the
original direct syntax. After years of creeping obfuscation, we get a new
language!

This stylization has always occurred in literature, music composition, and
other arts but the authors and composers create these styles to uniquely
identify their work.
