Thanks Tal,

Both look beautiful. I ended up looking at the Elementary OS (
http://www.elementary-project.com/) project from the Nautilus Elementary
link, and it looks really neat. They have a request on their front page for
open source contributors, in case anybody is looking for new projects or
whatnot.
