Hi Oren,

What area of science? I may be able to give you some domain-specific
pointers off-list. For general knowledge, past SC and SciPy tutorial
videos are online and Hans Petter Langtangen has a couple of decent
books out with my preference to "Python Scripting for Computational
Science" for folks coming from Matlab.
