I'm trying to setup an application that needs to have access to the system
header files, specifically from the build instructions:

--with-python=<include directory> - Build the Python API. Use directory
which contains python headers.

and....i'm curious, would this be wiser to compile against a virtualenv? *Can
*I compile this against a virtualenv? and, finally, where are said files
on debian? Aren't they in the python-dev package, thus giving me a
resounding No, and No to my first two questions?

thanks for any helo chipy
