Thanks for the kind words, Brian. I'm looking forward to reconnecting with
the community as I move back to Chicago full time starting next month.
Certainly I'm committed to doing what I can to represent the community to
the PSF, and vice versa.

However, I might also add that you can also speak for yourselves - under
the new membership model voting memberships in the PSF are now available to
*all* who spend at least 5 hours a month working on Python community
organization. I would think that means that several people reading this
list qualify. To become a "managing" member (i.e. voting by virtue of
community work), you need to:

   1. be a "basic" member, which you do by signing up on the python.org
   site.
   2. self-certify that you spend at least 5 hours a month by filling out
   the form here
   https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1DA6hs9WKA5L4LLNIqkmfMrq_LrK6z4zXhOYJLd6a8Oo/viewform
(but be patient - infrastructure hasn't kept up and these registrations are
processed manually.) The form explains the terms for qualifying.

So I really encourage anyone who spends the time to join us as a voting
member.

Cheers,
Naomi
