Exactly as I wrote it during the event, except with '\n' added so it splits
correctly. Please don't think this is how code I normally write looks :)

I first tried pyaudio on both osx and Ubuntu in a vm, but it didn't work,
so I switched to alsaaudio on the Linux vm. I based the script on the one
at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=500337
