I guess just a couple points to add.

Chipy recently started a slack channel. That might have better tools for
"real time" and group collaboration.

Also, messages to the group are public.  Sometimes people will mistakenly
'reply all' to post for a job offer, not knowing everyone will see it, when
the really mean to directly reply to the sender.
