Y'all GO!!!

suggestions/ideas (mostly intended for organizers - * are for everyone):
	make sure they have all the gas heaters working, and turned on;
	make sure they lay in a big supply of firewood for us, and that
	 the fireplaces have been cleaned and inspected;
	use the Mansion;
	make sure they have the floor(s) in tiptop shape;
	*bring musical instruments, and songbooks/sheets;
	*bring warm bedding/clothes to layer;
	*bring candles/lamps and matches, and know how to use safely
	are Brad and Mecca on this list?...let them know;
	*make sure your car has enough gasoline to make it back home,
	 when you arrive;
	*bring bottled water (large container) & maybe(?) a couple-days'
	 worth of food;
	*bring adequate footgear and outerwear (adequate to mud, ice,
	 slush, rain, or snow, that is);
	*bring slippers - also, perhaps, dancing slippers or thick socks
	 with the toes and heels cut out;
	*bring any strange gifts you may have received which you either
	 do not want or do not need - alternatively/additionally, have a
	 random gift-exchange circle, where each person brings a wrapped
	 gift to place on a pile, from which each of us later takes one -
	 alternatively/additionally, bring as potlatch gifts (not
	 necessarily wrapped) any items from your house you think are
	 wonderful/beautiful, but which you do not need/want/enjoy,
	 yourself;
	*check out the Utne Reader site/booklet on Y2K.

	At such times, a fire ritual is nice; either fireplace (cozy) or
	 bonfire (wild energy), perhaps slips of paper with writings of
	 what we wish transformed?
	A dream circle can also be wonderful (particularly in connection
	 with Authentic)
	Ummm, I think the potlatch/gift ideas (above) belong here, too,
	 but I don't know how to move them down.

Somebody stop me, before I suggest again.............
(Cynthia)
