The 2007 MOAB JAM is going to be wonderful.
YOU are invited to participate in an extraordinary dance adventure  
this May.
May 20-24, 2007 ~ Let/Go CI Workshop with Chris Aiken & Angie Hauser
May 24-28, 2007~  River Trip & Moab Jam
Deepen into your dancing body and creative mind during the  
workshop...float down the Colorado River for a day with other dancing  
pals...relish in a spacious and lively jam environment. Moab is an  
amazing place: red rock canyons with sensuous arcs of flowing stone,  
magical rivers, and a clear blue sky.  The natural beauty supports  
poetic dancing, friendships, and restorative time for the soul.  We  
dance in great studios at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center, and  
most participants camp together at a lovely camping area near the  
small town of Moab.

CI Workshop May 20-24 with Chris Aiken & Angie Hauser

LET/GO: A playful and focused 5-day CI Workshop
for experienced CI dancers.
We will lay the foundation for physical and emotional breakthroughs  
to support fearlessness and aliveness in dancing.
We will learn technical skills, somatic techniques, and principles of  
awareness and discuss CI history, teaching methods, sexuality, socio- 
political contexts, and artistic potential.
Receive individual coaching and co-create
group investigation of specific aspects of the work.
Come with questions, energy and commitment to serious training and  
playful, imaginative dancing.

This workshop is a unique opportunity to be inspired by master  
teachers of Contact Improvisation.

11th Annual Moab JAM May 24-28 ....with a River Trip May 25
A CI Jam is a time to allow your dancing body and dancing mind to  
experiment, play, and deepen your practice.
This year the jam will include a Friday trip down the Colorado  
River.  Splash splash!
Teacher/hosts for this jam are:
Patrick Crowley (MA), Steve Homsher (CO),
Aaron Jessup (CA), and Gretchen Spiro (CO).
They will guide mixers, skills labs, and lead warm-ups.
Each teacher will be available for private coaching sessions,
as well helping you enter and joyfully navigate a jam.
Their passion for CI will ignite your creativity.
(All guided activities are OPTIONAL—
there will always be space for open jamming.)

There will also be studio space for participant-led labs and activities
(boogie music jam, didgeridoo, authentic movement, theater games, etc.)
Informal performance Saturday evening.
Dancers of all experience levels are WELCOME, including complete  
beginners.
