Experimentus Dance from Brazil and Khambatta Dance Company of Seattle open the festival this Friday June 13 at Raisbeck Hall and Art on the Fly, the free outdoor event kickoff, runs two days June 13 and 14. Over 35 local companies and 5 international companies will perform in the following ten days. Don't miss this chance to see the world through contemporary dance without even leaving Seattle!

Contemporary dance chronicles the world through artists eyes as it is today - right now. The Inter|National Series offers a multicultural view, a real time reflection on the heart of what makes the people of the world tick. On Friday and Saturday at 8pm, see "The Gray Color of Things" by Experimentus Dance Company of Fortaleza, the most densely populated city in Brazil, as well as Seattle-based Khambatta Dance Company, whose recent tour took it to India, near the birthplace of its Artistic Director, Cyrus Khambatta's father. Khambatta's latest work, "Vice and Virtue," at SIDF this weekend has been described by the Stranger as "...captivating...eerie...exacting...intricate..."
