Also, talking about PyCon on east-coast, there's also PyGotham on June 8-9 https://pygotham.org/, new york is directly east coast.  

Also, PyCon is always trying to move from east to west and vice-versa, that's why PyCon will be in Montreal in 2014 and 2015.
