well for one thing, the notation in your 98 paper is much more consistent
and correct as compared to the notation in the book chapter. Infact you
keep going back and forth between using p and f for the phase function.
Besides that the subscripts for L are also mixed up at a number of places.

I went through the 98 paper yesterday and that does not have any mistakes
in it.
