The C++ Mahogany project http://mahogany.sourceforge.net/index.html
offers the promise of an embedded Python interpreter for user
customization purposes.

The embedded Python interpreter is/was supported by SWIG, and seems to
impose more maintenance headaches than the Mahogany team wishes to
endure.

>From what I remember, the problems are more than just SWIG interface
file maintenance, but revolve around the mirroring of Mahogany's C++
objects in Python - which is Boost Python turf!
