[DB-SIG] new mysql - module incompatibility

i am using=20
MySQL-python-1.4-2.i386.rpm

it works well, but not with MySQL-client-3.23.22-1
(libmysqlclient.so.9   vs.  libmysqlclient.so.6)

is there a simple workaround?
