[DB-SIG] MS Sql Server DBI

Hi,
  I am a newbebie to python,  I want to connect to microsoft sql server 2000 database. I have searched al ot and understood that  need to download a dbi that works as an a connection between python and the database. Can anybody refer me to free reliable DBI that connects to microsoft sql server 2000.
