The more specific wins.

Let's look at an example:

  We are using "psycopg". It uses "pyformat" as "paramStyle" and
  documents that it does so.
  As a consequence, our SQLs are using "pyformat".
  Guess our curses when "psycopg" decides to no longer support
  "pyformat".
