Extreme off-topic...
Cygwin was benchtested by an Australian computer magazine and it verified
that GCC (DJGPP) generates smaller files quicker and in less space than
Visual C. [Now I know why python compiles so quickly compared to VC
project file;)]
Seriously, Cygwin is basicaly unix for NT
