[Distutils] Nasty typo in Python 2.1a2 distutils (with fix)

Sourceforge seems to be having trouble with bug submissions right now,
si I'm just posting here.  I'm not a subscriber, so cc me on any
replies.

There is a typo/bug in the Python 2.1a2 alpha version of
python2.1/distutils/command/install_data.py that breaks the install_data
command.
