[Distutils] py2exe correct syntax for changing icon

[Ray]

Using the -icon option to change the icon for my App but I keep getting
'syntax error messages
Example: python setup.py py2exe -icon desktop\icons\EXE icon.ico
Do I use the python shell or the DOS command line?
What is the proper syntax I should be using
