[Distutils] Variations in packaging

Hello,


I'm trying to build three different distributions from the same set of
packages, with slight variations in the modules that are included.
What's the best way to accomplish these 'setup' variations?

Currently, since the setup.py needs to be in the root directory, I've
simply created three different setup's (with different names).  This is
problomatic given that they all share the same MANIFEST and MANIFEST.in
file. So, now I'm resorting to dynamically creating a MANIFEST.in ...
It seems like there should be an easier way...
