[Distutils] Eggs != single-file importable distribution format?

I know there's a tradeoff between accuracy and ease of understanding, but 
this seems likely to cause confusion.  Isn't it true that 1. the main 
reason-for-being of Eggs is to allow keeping metadata with installed 
projects and 2. Eggs can have several different installed formats?

Phillip has taken a lot of trouble correcting peoples' misconceptions 
about this kind of thing -- perhaps it's a good idea to make the bullet 
point above a bit more accurate?
