Agreed.

I couldn't disagree more. Discussing the name *after* release will be
even less useful because it's so much more difficult to actually change
it at that point.

A project name, once it becomes established through use (even well
before a release happens) is very difficult to change effectively.
That's a big reason I see to choose a least-worst name long before that
happens.

I do agree, though, with letting the appointed dictator take the weight
of that decision and giving him the breathing room to do so. In that
spirit, I'll let my objections stand and not re-raise them unsolicited.
