Let's just accept this as your final position..

I'm led to believe that pip and enstaller both claim deinstallation of
packages.

It shows that people out there are doing - or at least claiming -
deinstallation.

Finally, if you know that easy_install has certain failings, then it is
wrong to
suggest that because I use it, that I am somehow responsible for it's
internal
faults.
