As far as I know (I might know nothing;)), and as far as I follow
the debian-mentors ML, most of the "problems" is about filesystem hierarchy
Python packages are pretty clear on their FS hierarchy, normalizing it
should not be that hard.
Once it's clear about that, Debian packaging straighforwardness is 80% done.

Give me just some time to give a try on an examples.

My tries might invalidate my assumptions, but I need to test that
on a bunch of Perl modules to confirm. Not just on 2-3.
