[Distutils] Distribute docs at packages.python.org?

Was just looking at the Distribute docs at
http://packages.python.org/distribute/index.html (nicely styled, btw).
Are there any other projects at http://packages.python.org/ (note,
that page actually doesn't even load)? What is the purpose of
packages.python.org , and how does one get their project listed there?

Btw, regarding the Distribute docs there, thanks for the Roadmap!
