PyPM stores file paths relative to sys.prefix in the installation database. The binary package file (*.pypm/data.tar.gz) contains installed files relative to sys.prefix - implying that files-outside-sys.prefix are not supported by PyPM.

Do we have a real-world example for installing uninstallable data files outside sys.prefix?
