[Distutils] Attaching changelog

Hi,

I am trying to attach changelog to spec file using --changelog= as a parameter.
My changelog test file has lines starting with (*) but i keep getting

error: %changelog entries must start with *

when building rpm.
Is it a right way to add changelog to spec file?
