[docs] [issue17000] Remove cruft from unittest docs

There's a lot of obsolete or simply pointless cruft in the unittest docs, including references to the runTest method, or a detailed description of how to manually collect test suites. Following patch simplifies things a lot and makes the doc easier to read.
