Attaching revised patch per reviews.

Notable changes:

  * Reverted howto/curses.rst multiple inline statements -> multi-target 
    assignment (curses.rst is now unchanged)

  * Reverted library/subprocess.rst "==>" to "# ==>" changes since there are 
    other outstanding issues in the file.  (subprocess.rst is now unchanged)
