On a more upbeat note, I'm happy about other 2.2 PEPs
I've been reading; about generators and iterators in
particular.  Those generators look like a way to get more
lazy evaluation into the picture.  Maybe that's why
xrange is slowly going away.

I think it's time to grab 2.2 and play with it.

PS:  I went off the read the Eiffel site, following my
own self-exhortations to learn it, along with Ocaml and
more Scheme.  Alas, it's $2999 for the base package.
That's a real deterrent to diving in just for the fun
of it, in my case.  There's a student version, but you
have to submit documentation proving you're enrolled in
some course.  Well, I'm not.  So I'm going to use the
unexpended enthusiasm for learning Eiffel and plough it
back into learning more Python.
