Just get through Books 1 & 2 - with the commentaries, and *doing the
constructions*.

The fact that you already know the substance of what you will encounter
there from other sources, does not alllow you to opt out of this as a
prerequisite. In other words, it's quite possible that you have already seen
the movie version.  Doesn't count.

Kirby, I'm quite sure, would disagree with this advice, BTW.

I don't really know what he would consider as a prerequisie.
