I have run a 2 day course @ the University of New
South Wales (UNSW) for gifted 10 - 11 year olds as
part of the Junior Scientia program for gifted
children. However, this was using java not Python. I
based the course on a book by a teacher [Jeff Spence -
Teaching Java applet Games ... used to be available
from java4schools.com] who had been on exchange in my
home town.
I expect the livewires course would be just as
suitable.
if you email me offlist I will zip the course and send
it to you - it is all web based so can run off an
intranet. At UNSW I found it easiest to drop all of
the "stuff" in the html dir of the unix account I used
- which made it live to the world via Internet. The
classes could then go directly to the URL to access
all materials.
